THE Second Management Conference of the Ministry of Health-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MoH-BARMM) was held at the Dusit Thani Manila hotel in Makati City from July 19 to 21, 2023. So, what is an Islamic hospital? For us to understand and appreciate this important Islamic institution, we need to look back on its origin and how it developed in modern times. But first, we need to define the words 'Islam' and 'hospital.'
