PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III said on Thursday that the police would sustain its operation against loose firearms long after the election gun ban had lapsed on June 11.
Torre said the strong enforcement of the gun ban were among the factors that led to the generally peaceful conduct of the May 12 midterm polls.
