A lot has been said about the controversial flood control expose of President Marcos Jr., released after he called out unscrupulous contractors for failing to fulfill their responsibilities during his 2025 State of the Nation Address. For me, this is a reminder never to take money for granted.
The great Warren Buffett said, “Price is what you pay, Value is what you get.” This is very important in investing, which Buffett is forever tied to as the so-called Oracle of Omaha. This is also applicable whenever you need to take out your wallet and purchase something. It should be obvious, common sense even. But, to quote the philosopher and writer Voltaire, “common sense is not so common.”
