(UPDATE) DISTRUST in government has surged to its highest level in three years, with a decisive majority of Filipinos supporting a snap election to reset the country’s political leadership, according to the latest Tangere survey.

The study found that seven out of 10 respondents support Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano’s call for a snap election, citing growing frustration with the performance of national institutions.
