Overcoming challenges key to agriculture sector growth

In his fourth State of the Nation Address last July, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. called on businessmen to invest in the agriculture sector. As it remains central to economic growth and food security, its development hinges on navigating persistent challenges and the implementation of transformative programs.

Looking toward 2026 and beyond, the trajectory of Philippine agriculture will be shaped by whether government interventions and responses to industry threats can secure sustainable progress.
