Preaudits for govt projects sought

With the exposure of ghost flood control projects that shocked and enraged the nation, several members of the House of Representatives are seeking the reimposition of preaudits for government projects.

The proposal was floated during a House Committee on Appropriations briefing on the Commission on Audit (COA)’s 2026 budget in September.
