DSWD provides assistance to Ipil fisherfolk

IPIL, Zamboanga Sibugay — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has extended livelihood support to fisherfolk-led enterprises as part of the government’s zero-hunger strategy, providing start-up capital to help boost food production, strengthen community-based livelihoods, and promote sustainable economic growth.

Under the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Zero Hunger Program Convergence Budgeting, the DSWD recently turned over livelihood assistance to the Bangkerohan Fisherfolk Sustainable Livelihood Program Association (SLPA) in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.
