Sen. Robin Padilla recently said today’s youth were weak or fainthearted compared to those of his generation. In a Senate hearing on the effects of social media on young people on Feb. 11, Senator Padilla sarcastically claimed that his generation did not know the term “depression,” a word now used by youngsters a lot when they feel overwhelmed by life’s challenges.
