FILOMENITA Mongaya-Hoegsholm has dedicated her life to serving others, channeling her skills in arts and communication into fierce advocacy for the rights of migrant women and gender equality across continents.
Her calling began in the arts, shaping her ability to communicate complex issues with powerful resonance. A music major at the University of the Philippines, Hoegsholm honed her talent as an anchor for the UP Concert Chorus during its bi-annual world tours for nearly two decades under Professor Rey Paguio. She also performed with the UP Filipiniana dance troupe.
