LAST week, the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (AmCham) held its 10th Annual Talent Summit, with the theme “Shifts in Talent Development Amidst Global Disruption,” and 100 representatives of government, industry, and academe in attendance.
Keynote speaker Labor Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma, in a speech read by Assistant Secretary Joel Gonzales, referred to the Summit as “a vital platform for dialogue between business, government, and the academe... and a call to action to ensure that amid energy shocks, technological upheavals, and demographic transitions, our workforce remains resilient, adaptable, and empowered.”
