Columnist’s note: I have to say that Louward Zubiri is one of our finest Philippine linguists, whose work on and analysis of Philippine languages are truly impressive. He has done many important things for the Filipino language in the United States. He messaged me to react to my column last week on the abundance of advocates, but not doers.
