MANILA, Philippines — Filipina ace netter Alex Eala is determined to get back at Linda Noskova of the Czech Republic when they clash in the semifinals of the Berlin Open in Germany.

The much-anticipated showdown is set for 8 p.m. Saturday (Manila time).

Noskova previously dominated Eala, 6-2, 6-0, during their Round of 16 meeting at Indian Wells last March in California.

This time, Eala is determined to bounce back and even their head-to-head record at 1-1 this season.

The Filipina rising star has already snapped her so-called “Czech curse” after defeating Nikola Bartunkova in the finals of the Birmingham Open, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5—a confidence boost she hopes to carry into her rematch with Noskova.
