ALAMINOS BESS Inc. (ABI), a subsidiary of ACEN Corp., was fined P78,713.16 by the Philippine Electricity Market Corp. (PEMC) for non-compliance with reserve standards, the company said on Thursday.

In a disclosure, ACEN said Alaminos BESS received the notice of penalty on July 1.

The penalty covers the Apr. 2026 billing period and was imposed in line with regulations under the Ancillary Services Monitoring Manual.

According to PEMC’s assessment, ABI failed to comply with the Reserve Conformance Standards (RCS) for its Regulating Reserve and Contingency Reserve services in 51 intervals beginning March 26, 2026.

ACEN said the non-compliance was due to operational limitations encountered during the affected intervals.
