SAMSUNG Electro-Mechanics Philippines Corp. (SemPhil) formally launched its Accelerating Partnerships Towards Excellence (APEX) Academe Partnership Program, bringing together leading universities, technical institutions, and government stakeholders in a unified effort to help prepare the next generation of Filipino engineers and manufacturing professionals.

The program was formally introduced during the memorandum of agreement signing ceremony at SemPhil’s manufacturing facility in Calamba, Laguna, marking a significant step in strengthening collaboration between industry and academia.

Participating institutions include Mapua Malayan Colleges Laguna, Mapua University, MFI Polytechnic Institute Inc., Mindanao State University-Iligan, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Calabarzon, and University of the Philippines Diliman.

The initiative builds upon SemPhil’s longstanding commitment to education, technical training, and workforce development.

Through this partnership program, SemPhil seeks to help bridge that gap by creating opportunities for students to acquire practical exposure, industry insights, and career pathways that align with the demands of modern manufacturing.

The launch also highlights the growing role of Laguna and the Calabarzon region as a center for advanced manufacturing and technological innovation. With the continued expansion of industrial locators and export-oriented industries, demand for highly skilled Filipino talent continues to rise across engineering, electronics, automation, and technical fields.
