President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. met with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney here on Thursday (Friday in Manila) as the two countries sought to boost their defense and economic partnerships.

Marcos, who began his four-day official visit to Canada on Wednesday, was welcomed by Carney upon his arrival at Vancouver Convention Center. The President will hold a bilateral meeting with Carney to be followed by signing of agreements and a joint press statement. He will also visit Filipino fast-food chain Jollibee in Vancouver on the same day.
