FLAG carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Friday said it would be adding more nonstop flights to Vancouver, Toronto and New York to provide customers with more travel options.
“As travel demand grows, these additional flights strengthen our position as the preferred nonstop carrier between the Philippines and North America while providing our customers with greater choice, improved connectivity and more opportunities to travel, do business, and reconnect with family and loved ones,” PAL President Richard Nuttall said in a statement.
The airline said it would expand Vancouver services to 10 weekly flights from seven effective Nov. 17, Toronto services to four weekly flights from three beginning Dec. 5 and New York (JFK) flights to four from three starting Dec. 2.
There will also be a fifth weekly flight during the holiday travel season.
The airline added that the expanded North American schedule and commencement of three-times weekly Manila to Chicago flights beginning Nov. 9 formed part a long-term network growth strategy.
Shares of parent firm PAL Holdings Inc. fell by 3 centavos to close at P2.64 apiece on Friday.
