FISH unloading at the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority’s eight regional ports declined in May, according to agency data.
A total of 51,309.35 metric tons (MT) of fish arrived at regional fish ports, down from 52,986.30 MT in the same month last year.
The Navotas Fish Port Complex had the highest volume at 22,606.778 MT, lower than the 26,078.81 MT in the same period in 2025.
The General Santos Fish Port Complex followed with 18,116.366 MT, also down from 19,854.24 MT the previous year.
However, some ports posted gains.
The Bulan Fish Port Complex’s unloading jumped 132.88 percent to 4,879.7 MT from 2,095.35 MT.
That of the Iloilo Fish Port Complex climbed 13.32 percent to 3,045.49 MT from 2,687.55 MT.
Meanwhile, unloading at the Zamboanga Fish Port Complex grew 40.74 percent to 647.74 MT from 460.25 MT.
The Davao Fish Port Complex posted the sharpest increase at 622.05 percent to 385.25 MT from 53.36 MT.
That of the Sual Fish Port expanded by 117.17 percent to 7.53 MT from 3.465 MT.
On the other hand, those of the Lucena Fish Port Complex declined, with 1,620.495 MT unloaded compared with 1,753.07 MT last year.
