Bridal fashion took the spotlight at Conrad Manila’s three-day “Inspired Beginnings 2026” wedding showcase, where Filipino designers presented collections that reflected changing styles and traditions in modern weddings.

Held from June 26 to 28 at Conrad Manila in partnership with Getting Married Wedding Coordinators and Event Planners by Kutchie Zaldarriaga, the annual bridal event combined couture presentations, styling installations and a wedding expo as part of the hotel’s 10th anniversary celebration.

The fashion component opened with designer Furne Amato’s bridal collection, “Harvest,” which featured rustic-inspired pieces with contemporary silhouettes and detailed craftsmanship. Stylist Randy Lazaro complemented the presentation by transforming the ballroom runway into a barn-inspired setting that echoed the collection’s theme.

The following day concluded with a multi-designer fashion show featuring Ryan Ablaza Uson, Joe San Antonio, Manny Halasan, Vee Tan, Michael Chiu Rosero, Andrea Tetangco, Pablo Mendez, Jazel Sy and Ehrran Montoya.

Each designer explored a different aspect of wedding attire. Uson presented ensembles inspired by prenuptial shoots, while San Antonio and Halasan interpreted the traditional Ting Hun ceremony through formal designs. Tan and Rosero focused on attire for the wedding entourage and after-party, Tetangco and Mendez showcased bridesmaid and groomsmen looks, and Sy and Montoya highlighted sponsor wear.

The runway presentations were staged in a ballroom transformed by stylist Drew Menor into what organizers described as a “palace in the sky,” with direction by Robby Carmona.

Beyond the runway, the event featured a tablescape exhibition inspired by historical design periods. Displayed throughout the Taft Ballroom, the installations were created by FJ Sionson, Kathy Sy King, Dave Sandoval, Drew Menor, Jacqs Floral, Il Fiore, Randy Lazaro and Tiger Lim. Their works drew inspiration from the Victorian, Edwardian, Art Deco, Old Hollywood, Mid-Century, Bohemian, Renaissance and Rococo eras.

The showcase also included a wedding expo where couples met coordinators, jewelers, photographers, beauty professionals and technical suppliers through consultations and product presentations.

The event officially opened with a ceremonial cake-cutting at the Level 3 Atrium. Guests included Peggy Angeles, executive vice president of SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation; Joanne Gomez, commercial director of Conrad Manila; Kutchie Zaldarriaga, chief executive officer of Getting Married Wedding Coordinators and Event Planners; gnacio, OIC of the Urban Development and Housing Office of Pasay City.

“As we conclude ‘Inspired Beginnings 2026,’ we do so with immense gratitude to our partners, collaborators and friends in the industry who have journeyed with us in creating truly memorable moments,” said Rupert Hallam, general manager of Conrad Manila.

“We look forward to unveiling even more exceptional experiences inspired by excellence and purposeful hospitality as part of our continuing anniversary celebrations,” Hallam added.
