VANCOUVER, Canada — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on Thursday (Friday in Manila) visited a local Jollibee outlet, highlighting the popular Filipino fast-food chain’s growing global presence.

Marcos and Carney made a brief stop at Jollibee on Granville Street in downtown Vancouver after their bilateral meeting at the Vancouver Convention Center.

The two leaders made an order, posed with the Jollibee mascot, and chatted with staff and customers.

The Jollibee branch, which opened in March 2022, is the first Jollibee in Vancouver, Canada.

According to the Department of Trade and Industry’s Export Marketing Bureau, Canada is Jollibee’s second-largest export market for Philippine food products, and the food chain also consistently ranks among the top exporting enterprises in the Philippines.
