Farah Ramos, founder and chief executive officer of Farah Models, has assumed the presidency of the Rotary Club of Mandaluyong Uptown, launching a new initiative that encourages models and young creatives to take a more active role in community service.

As she begins her term, Ramos said she hopes to bridge the worlds of fashion and volunteerism by inspiring members of the modeling industry to use their influence to create positive change through Rotary programs.

Leading the youth movement is beauty queen and professional model Vienne Luna, who has been named president of the Rotaract Club of Mandaluyong Uptown, Rotary’s organization for young adults. Luna is one of Farah Models’ top talents and is also co-managed by Star Worx.

Joining the Rotaract club are award-winning television reporter Su Jin Kim, model and content creator Eula Arielle, and several talents from Farah Models and Farah Models Camp. Former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate and international model Laziz Rustamov has also expressed support for the organization’s community initiatives, recalling his previous volunteer work repainting classrooms during Brigada Eskwela.

Also taking part in the club’s upcoming outreach activities are model and New Flame member Venus Perol and longtime Farah Models talent Riona Johnston, who have both committed to participating in future service projects.

Among the organization’s flagship programs is HearForward: Helping Ears Access Restoration, a humanitarian project that will provide hearing aids, earmolds, batteries and other fitting services to individuals with hearing impairment. Organizers said the initiative aims to improve beneficiaries’ communication skills and enable greater participation in school, work and community life.

Another key project, The Dream Big Project: Building Confident Leaders and Future Changemakers, is a partnership between the Rotary Club of Mandaluyong Uptown and Farah Models. The program seeks to equip public school students with leadership, confidence and life skills through mentorship sessions and workshops led by the agency’s talents.

“We have so many meaningful projects lined up for this Rotary year, and we are excited to create lasting impact together with the members of RCMU, our Rotaractors, volunteers and community partners,” Ramos said.

The Rotary Club of Mandaluyong Uptown will carry out its projects with the support of Rotary International District 3800 District Governor Celso Montalla, whose leadership has encouraged clubs across the district to expand their community service efforts.
