EPSON has updated its EcoTank printer lineup in the Philippines with eight new models that focus on practical improvements for home users and small businesses. The latest generation introduces a more compact design, expanded wireless features on selected models, easier maintenance and the same refillable ink system that has defined the EcoTank series.

The new lineup includes the L1310, L1350, L3310, L3316, L3350, L3356 and L5390. Buyers can choose between print-only and multifunction models, while the L5390 adds fax capability and a 30-sheet automatic document feeder for offices that regularly handle multi-page documents.

Physically, the new EcoTank printers are smaller than their predecessors, with Epson claiming a footprint reduction of up to 20 percent. The redesigned body integrates the ink tanks more cleanly into the chassis, while keyed, color-coded refill bottles continue to simplify ink replacement and help prevent incorrect refills.

The printers retain the EcoTank system's emphasis on low running costs. Epson rates the new models for yields of up to 4,700 black-and-white pages and 7,500 color pages using 65-milliliter ink bottles. The addition of a user-replaceable maintenance box is a practical improvement, allowing owners to perform basic maintenance themselves instead of sending the printer to a service center. A semi-automatic print adjustment feature is also intended to help maintain print alignment and color consistency over time.

Wireless functionality is available on higher-end models, including support for the Epson Smart Panel app, which allows users to configure the printer, monitor status, and scan or copy documents from a mobile device. AirPrint and Mopria support also make wireless printing easier for compatible smartphones and tablets. Entry-level models continue to rely on USB 2.0 connectivity.

Across the lineup, print speeds remain rated at up to 11 images per minute in black and 6 images per minute in color under ISO standards. While performance is largely consistent with previous generations, the combination of a smaller footprint, easier maintenance and expanded mobile features makes the latest EcoTank series a modest but practical refresh rather than a major redesign. The printers have been available in the Philippines since June 30.
