THE Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) of the Philippines has elected Atty. Alicia Risos-Vidal as the 30th National President during the National Board of Directors meeting on June 6, 2026.

A lawyer, civic leader, and longtime YWCA advocate, Vidal brings extensive experience in governance, community development, women’s empowerment, and volunteer service. She took her oath before Supreme Court Associate Justice Amy Lazaro-Javier, who also inducted the organization’s newly elected officers and committee members.

The ceremony included the induction of the National Youth Coordinating Council, the Mid-Biennium Meeting/National Biennial Convention Committee, and the Nominating and Elections Committee, underscoring the organization’s commitment to strong governance, youth leadership, democratic participation, and organizational sustainability.

As National President, Vidal will lead the YWCA in advancing programs on women’s empowerment, gender equality, youth development, education, health, environmental stewardship, and community development while strengthening local associations nationwide.
