MITSUBISHI Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) has expanded its Xforce range, giving buyers another way into one of the country’s newest compact SUVs.
The biggest addition is the arrival of the Xforce GLX CVT (continuously variable transmission), a new entry-level variant priced at P1.119 million. It joins the existing GLS and GT models, increasing the lineup from two variants to three while making the Xforce more attainable for buyers who want the model’s SUV styling and practicality without stretching their budget.
Rather than stripping the vehicle down completely, Mitsubishi retained many of the features that have helped make the Xforce popular since its local introduction.
The GLX comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, a reverse camera, a six-speaker audio system, and the same spacious cabin found across the range. It also shares the elevated driving position, comfortable ride, and everyday usability that have become key selling points of the model.
The move reflects the growing demand for compact SUVs in the Philippines, where buyers increasingly want the practicality of an SUV without moving into larger or more expensive segments.
Mitsubishi also used the opportunity to enhance the middle-of-the-line GLS CVT.
The updated variant now gains leather seats with Heat Guard material designed to reduce heat buildup, cruise control for highway driving, and a multi-around monitor that makes parking and maneuvering in tight spaces easier.
The flagship GT CVT remains unchanged as the fully equipped version of the lineup, aimed at buyers looking for the complete package of comfort, technology, and safety features.
MMPC President and CEO Ritsu Imaeda said expanding the lineup allows more customers to find a version of the Xforce that best suits their needs.
With the latest updates, Mitsubishi now offers a clearer progression across the range. The GLX serves as the value-oriented entry point, the GLS adds more comfort and convenience features, while the GT continues as the premium choice.
Pricing starts at P1.119 million for the new Xforce GLX CVT, rises to P1.299 million for the upgraded GLS CVT, and tops out at P1.661 million for the flagship GT CVT.
Quartz White Pearl adds P15,000, while two-tone paint on the GLS costs an additional P10,000. For a limited time, MMPC is offering the new Xforce GLX CVT variant at special introductory pricing of P1.049 million.
