MANILA, Philippines — Amid the ongoing war in the Middle East, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) on Wednesday announced the return of 95 Filipinos from three countries in the region.

OWWA said a total of 74 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and 21 dependents voluntarily chose to come home and arrived on Tuesday.

Among those were 16 OFWs from Lebanon that arrived through Qatar Airways Flight QR 932 from Doha, along with 12 OFWs and the 21 dependents from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates through Emirates Flight EK 334, and the remaining 46 OFWs from Kuwait through Qatar Airways Flight QR 928.

The OWWA provided the Filipinos with post-repatriation assistance, that also included food assistance, financial assistance, and temporary accommodation, if needed.

The agency also arranged domestic flights or land transportation for those who wish to return to their families and loved ones.
