Dagupan's Bangus Festival raises questions on austerity measures

DAGUPAN CITY = The large-scale preparations for the 2026 Bangus Festival have sparked mixed reactions among local residents and netizens, with some raising questions about consistency with earlier austerity measures ordered by the city government.

In a Facebook post on April 29, Mayor Belen Fernandez showcased the near-completion of six major stages along the New De Venecia Road Extension for the Kalutan ed Dalan and Bangusan Street Party scheduled April 30.
