AI, insider threats reshape global cyber risks: Microsoft report

ORGANIZATIONS worldwide face a rapidly evolving cyberthreat landscape shaped by artificial intelligence, insider risks and increasingly sophisticated attacks, according to the “Microsoft Digital Defense Report 2025.”

The report said threat actors are increasingly blending into legitimate digital environments instead of forcing direct entry into systems. Attackers now abuse trusted platforms, software tools and common user behavior to avoid detection.
