Three senior citizens from Pasay City have found a renewed connection to the arts through the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ (CCP) Front-of-House Apprenticeship Program, an initiative that has opened opportunities for older Filipinos to take part in the country’s cultural community.

Launched in partnership with the city’s Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) in 2024, the program welcomed senior citizens Sarah Escosora, Marte Aragon and Bubot Manalang as part of its ushering team. Through lectures, fieldwork, venue exposure trips and first aid training, participants were introduced not only to audience management but also to the values of culture, education and public service.
