THE Philippine Wedding Summit marked its 20th year by gathering the country’s leading wedding suppliers and showcasing the latest trends shaping modern Filipino celebrations. Held at the SMX Convention Center Manila, the event featured venues, hotels, fashion, catering, photography, entertainment, and event styling.
Among the standout ideas was the growing preference for meaningful wedding favors. Instead of traditional souvenirs, couples are choosing practical keepsakes such as The Amenity Studio’s “Thoughtful Blooms,” which features Hermès-perfumed soaps elegantly packaged as memorable gifts.
Interactive food experiences also drew attention, with Arce Dairy’s ice cream cart offering guests handcrafted premium ice cream made from fresh carabao’s milk.
Hotels are likewise adapting to the rise of multi-day wedding celebrations. Properties including AC Hotel by Marriott Manila, Winford Resort & Casino Manila, and Taal Vista Hotel showcased venues that can host welcome dinners, ceremonies, receptions, and post-wedding brunches in one location.
Guest entertainment has also evolved beyond live music. Interactive photo studios, mirror photo booths, video guestbooks, craft stations, and personalized activities help keep guests engaged throughout the celebration.
Wedding fashion continues to expand beyond bridal gowns, with The Fine Gentleman highlighting bespoke suits and personalized accessories for modern grooms.
